New Delhi (February 23, 2024): A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was agreed between Sashastra Seema Bal and United World Academy, Bangalore for the education of children of Sashastra Seema Bal personnel. This MoU was signed by Shri Pradeep Kumar Gupta, Inspector General (Admn), Sashastra Seema Bal and Shri K.C. Vijaya Kumar, Chairman of United World Academy, Bangalore. The objective of this agreement is to provide high quality education to the children of martyred and serving/retired personnel of Sashastra Seema Bal.
United World Academy’s schools are located in Koramangala, Centre, Whitefield and Sarjapur Road, Bangalore, which provides education to school children from classes Nursery to Grade-12 based on the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
This institution has tied up with various reputed foreign institutions. The subsidiary schools of this institution also have boarding facilities for students of Grade-4 and above. The school also has facilities for gym, pool, football ground and other sports. Along with regular curriculum, the school also organises professional development workshops.
The children of SSB personnel will be provided admission facilities in the schools of this institution on the basis of age and merit of the children as per the eligibility criteria of United World Academy.
This will include children of serving, retired and other SSB personnel. The following facilities will be provided by United World Academy:-
1. The institution will provide quality education at affordable rates to the children of SSB martyr families/ children of serving/retired force personnel
in classes from Nursery to Grade-12.
2. Admission of any child to United World Academy will always be subject
to interview with the academic staff satisfying other eligibility criteria.
3. This MoU will remain effective for 05 years.
On this occasion, Shri Daljit Singh Chawdhary, Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal expressed happiness in his address and said that we are taking a very important step towards securing the future of our children in collaboration with United World Academy.
He informed that SSB is committed to the welfare of its force personnel and hence, to provide good and affordable education to the children of force personnel, we have come together with United World Academy and signed this MoU today. This agreement will prove to be very beneficial for the children of force personnel.
During this occasion, Shri Daljit Singh Chawdhary, Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal along with senior officers of the force and senior officials of United World Academy were present. Field formations of the SSB were also connected through video conference.
